Sorority Initiates Founding Members at AASU
Savannah, GAJanuary 31, 2005Sigma Sigma Sigma,
a national women's sorority with 90,000 members formally installed its
new chapter at Armstrong Atlantic State University January 21-23. During
the weekend, sorority officials held a ceremony to initiate the nearly
30 founding members into the sisterhood.
Founded in 1898, the sorority is headquarted in Woodstock, Virginia, and
states that its central mission is to perpetuate the bond of friendship
and to assist women in the development of strong character and high standards
of conduct.
Members of the National Panhellinic Conference (NPC), the sorority hosts
chapters on 107 college campuses and 88 alumnae chapters in communities.
NPC is a an organization that governs 26 national sororities.
