Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority Installs Founding Members at AASU

Savannah, GA—June 19, 2005—Alpha Sigma Tau, a national sorority that is part of the National Panhellenic Conference, recently installed 19 founding sisters into its new chapter, Epsilon Gamma, at Armstrong Atlantic State University. Epsilon Gamma is one of over 75 chapters nation wide.

Alpha Sigma Tau was founded on November 4, 1899, at what is now Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The purpose of Alpha Sigma Tau is to promote the ethical, cultural and social development of its members. Alpha Sigma Tau’s national philanthropy is Pine Mountain Settlement School and their local philanthropy is Habitat for Humanity.
