AASU’s Snowden Named Outstanding Advisor

Savannah, GA—January 12, 2004—Michael T. Snowden, director of Minority Affairs at Armstrong Atlantic State University, was named Outstanding Advisor of the Year by the Organization Presidents Council (OPC) at AASU.

Snowden is the Polemarch of the Savannah Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi and is the advisor to the Omicron Beta Chapter at AASU. He recently received the Student Service Award from AASU’s Student Government Association and was named Kappa Man of the Year. Snowden received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi.

OPC is made up of the presidents of over 45 student organizations on campus. The council meets quarterly to inform the university of recent club activities and other topics of interest to student groups. It also recognizes outstanding advisors based on their assistance and support of student organizations.
