AASU Students Complete "Emerging Leader" Program



Savannah, GA—Armstrong Atlantic State University has recognized twenty-four students for their completion of the Emerging Leaders program. The highly interactive program offers mini-lectures, skill-building workshops, and hands-on exercises that prepare participants for leadership positions. The fifteen-week program is for students newly admitted to the university.

An Emerging Leader Advisory Council, composed of community leaders and Armstrong Atlantic faculty members and students, plans and conducts leadership training activities for each student. Topics covered in the emerging leader program include: styles of leadership, coalition building, communications, ethics, and motivation.
