AASU to Host Homecoming Golf Tournament

Savannah, GA—The Armstrong Atlantic State University Alumni Association will host a golf tournament on January 25 as part of its annual homecoming celebration. The tournament will begin at noon at Henderson Golf Club. The cost is $55 per person (includes a $10 tax deductible gift to the AASU General Scholarship Fund) that includes green fees, cart, and a box lunch. Reservations will be accepted until January 21.

The grand prize is a Hole-In-One 2002 Mitsubishi donated by Savannah Mitsubishi. Individual and group prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third scoring teams. Teams will be recognized with a plaque in the AASU Sports Arena. Individual prizes will be awarded for closest to the pin, longest drive, and closest to the center of the fairway. Each player will receive an AASU gift for participating. Drawings will be held for other door prizes.

Mulligans will be available at the registration table for $5 each. Each player may have one for the front nine and one for the back nine. Mulligans do not count for golf prizes.

The General Scholarship Fund is maintained by the AASU Foundation Board in support of the university's scholarship programs. A faculty and staff scholarship committee reviews student applications and grants scholarships based on academic performance and financial need.
