Week of the Young Child Conference is March 30


(Savannah, GA-March 5, 2007) Armstrong Atlantic State University (AASU) will celebrate The Week of the Young Child with a conference on Friday, March 30, from 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. in the Armstrong Center, 13040 Abercorn Street. This year's conference, "Building Better Futures for all Children," will focus on technology.

The keynote speaker, Annette Lamb, is a national educational technology leader, website author (eduscapes.com), professor of education, former school library media specialist, and author of several books.

In her keynote address, "Riding the Waves: Facing the Future with Emerging Technology," Lamb will demonstrate how to integrate different classroom content into new and emerging technologies.

All early childhood education teachers, in-service teachers, media specialists, and childcare workers are invited to attend. The conference can be used for professional development credit. Seating is limited and pre-registration is required. The conference fee is $20. AASU students pay $10.
