MHSA Student Selected for Prestigious Duke University Internship

(Savannah, GA, May 2, 2007) Adrian Anderson, a graduate student at Armstrong Atlantic State University, has been selected for the 2007 Duke University Hospital Graduate Summer Internship program.

Anderson, a resident of Richmond Hill, is one of only five students nationwide to be selected for this prestigious program. As part of her internship, she will work quantifying data and analyzing cost savings for a program designed to reduce pressure ulcers on bedridden hospital patients.

The competition for the internship is substantial. Hundreds of applicants from the United States and Canada apply for the five internships.

Anderson is pursuing a masters in health services administration. She graduated with an associate of arts degree from Oxford College of Emory University. She holds bachelors degrees in psychology and sociology from Georgia State University.

After graduation she plans on either working in the health science administration field, or attending medical school.
