Main Page Contact Francisco Duque, 912.961.3173 For Immediate Release Dan Albergotti Closes 2007-2008 Poetry Series April 15(April 14, 2008) The Poetry Society of Georgia 2007-2008 reading series culminates with Dan Albergotti at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15 in the Memorial College Center Dining Hall on the Armstrong Atlantic State University campus, 11935 Abercorn Street. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. Albergotti's first full-length collection, The Boatloads, won the 2007 A. Poulin, Jr. Poetry Prize and was published in March 2008. His poems have appeared in Mid-American Review, Shenandoah, The Southern Review, The Virginia Quarterly Review, and other journals. He has been a scholar at the Sewanee Writers' and Bread Loaf Writers' conferences and a fellow at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. A graduate of the Master of Fine Arts program at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro and former poetry editor of The Greensboro Review, Albergotti currently serves as poetry editor for storySouth (www.storysouth.com) and teaches at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, SC.
