Main Page Contact Michelle Gordon, 912.961.3173 For Immediate Release Community Leaders Join AASU's Foundation BoardSavannah, GA--December 5, 2005--The Armstrong Atlantic State University Foundation Board of Trustees announces that two community leaders--John M. Mamalakis (Georgia Restaurant Mutual Captive Insurance Company) and Charles McMillan, Sr. (McMillan & Associates)--have joined its twenty-four member board of trustees. The purpose of the board is to acquire and administer funds and gifts for the support of the university and its programs. Annually, the foundation provides more than $300,000 to enhance academic and service programs. The net assets of the foundation have increased from nearly $300,000 in 1994 to more than $5 million presently.
