The meeting rooms will be available free of charge to organizations and community members holding their events before the end of December. Designed to meet the needs of the Savannah business community, the new space can be configured to accommodate a variety of functions, from small meetings of 6-12 to moderate sized seminars of 20-40. The space features a boardroom, conference room, break room, and business center, as well as up-to-date audio and visual presentation systems, teleconferencing capabilities, and a comfortable environment. It also can accommodate lectures for 75-100. Full catering services are available to meet any program's needs, and there is ample free parking on-site. Room reservations will be taken in the order that requests are made, and a fee will be charged for catering and other services as is usual and customary. The new meeting space is adjacent to the university's conference and continuing education facility that is now under construction and scheduled to open in the fall of 2006.
