The rodeo will be held from 3-5:30 p.m. at the Armstrong Conference Center, located at 13040 Abercorn Avenue, next to the main campus of Armstrong Atlantic State University (AASU). The AmTryke, a therapeutic tricycle that can be powered using the arms and upper body as well as the legs, is designed for children with limited use of their legs. Most of the recipients of the tricycles are children with cerebral palsy or spina bifida. These kids require weekly therapy in order to strengthen their legs and make them as independent as possible. The AmTryke enables the children to achieve their therapy goals through recreation and socialization. Two student organizations at AASU, Rho Tau (pre-physical therapy club) and the Respiratory Therapy Club, took on a variety of fund raising projects to sponsor AmTrykes at the rodeo.
