AASU to Hold Commencement Ceremonies May 5(Savannah, GA, April 20, 2007) Armstrong Atlantic State University (AASU) will hold commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 5, at 10 a.m. in the arena of the Savannah Civic Center, located on the corner of Liberty and Montgomery streets. Some 575 degree candidates are expected to be on hand representing the universitys five colleges and schools: College of Arts & Sciences, College of Education, College of Health Professions, School of Computing, and the School of Graduate Studies. The university will award approximately 450 undergraduate and 125 graduate degrees. AASU President Thomas Z. Jones and senior members of the university administration will confer the degrees. Spence Hoynes, Class of '70 and president of the AASU Alumni Association, will present the alumni welcome to the new graduates. The AASU Wind Ensemble, conducted by Mark B. Johnson, will lead the processional and university alma mater. |
