Main Page Contact Michelle Gordon; 961.3173 For Immediate Release AASU to Host Irish Lecture, Music and CoffeeSavannah, GAFebruary 27, 2006Each year as St. Patrick's Day draws near, Armstrong Atlantic State University (AASU) hosts the Sebastian Dangerfield Talk on Irish Literature. Frank Clancy, assistant professor of literature and director of the Irish Studies Club at AASU, will discuss the "Evolution of W.B. Yeat's Poetry." It will be held on March 8 at noon in AASU's Jenkins Hall. The lecture is free and open to the public. Traditional Irish music performed by Melanie Mirande, and an Irish coffee reception will follow the talk. The Irish Studies Club meets periodically for lectures on Irish literature, films, history, and politics. It is open to those in the community interested in Irish culture.
