AASU to Host Math Tournament, February 18


Savannah, GA—February 13, 2006—452 students from 32 high schools in Georgia and South Carolina will compete in the 28th Annual High School Math Tournament at Armstrong Atlantic State University (AASU). The top teams from each school will meet in the AASU cafeteria on Saturday, February 18, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Later, a paper airplane contest will be followed by an awards ceremony that will recognize the top-ranking schools and individuals in both the varsity and junior varsity competitions. These activities will take place from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Auditorium. The top winner will be announced for each grade, from nine through twelve. Awards will be given to both individuals and teams, at the levels of varsity and junior varsity.
