AASU To Hold 9/11 Commemoration Ceremony(Savannah, GA, September 7, 2007) Armstrong Atlantic State University will pause to commemorate the victims and fallen heroes of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on American soil. The AASU Wind Ensemble and choir will present a brief program starting at noon, Tuesday, Sept. 11 in the University Hall Plaza, on the AASU campus, 11935 Abercorn Street. The event is free and open to the public. Ashley Adams, soloist, AASU Wind Ensemble, performs the National Anthem Dr. Vicki McNeil, vice president of student affairs, presents welcome remarks Kyle Godfrey, senator, Student Government Association, presents student remarks Moment of Reflection Dr. Zaphon Wilson, department head of criminal justice, social & political science, delivers closing remarks. |
