AASU Staff Members Certified as Program Planners


Savannah, GA—March 2, 2006—Armstrong Atlantic State University (AASU) announces that two of its employees, Peter Mastopoulos and Laurel See, have became Certified Program Planners (CPP). They earned certification through the Learning Resources Network Winter Seminar held recently at the DeSoto Hilton in Savannah. They are among only three CPP's in Savannah and 29 in Georgia.

Peter Mastopoulos, assistant director for operations for the Department of Professional and Continuing Education, has been a staff member at AASU for 12 years. He earned graduate degrees from Central Michigan University and Georgia Southern University. He is a member of the AASU Staff Advisory Council and was awarded the Student Government Association Service Award in 2001.

Laurel See, program coordinator for the Department of Professional and Continuing Education, has been a staff member since August 2005. She earned a masters degree in American history from Wake Forest University. She has also worked as program administrator for the Southeastern Region of Elderhostel, Inc., and as the education coordinator at Stratford Hall Plantation.
