AASU Offers Summer Writing Camp


(Savannah, GA, June 6, 2007) Armstrong Atlantic State University's (AASU) Coastal Georgia Writing Project is offering a youth summer writing camp for children in grades seventh through 11th. The two-week camp will be held June 11-22, Monday through Friday, from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., in Gamble Hall 209 on the AASU campus.

The registration fee is $125, and it covers t-shirts, supplies, activities, and anthology.

The camp's theme is "Learning Excursions" and it is geared toward students who have an interest in writing and reading, or who want to demonstrate an improvement on the writing performance standards.

Campers will spend their days writing, reading, doing group activities, and taking field trips. Students will learn from the area's finest certified educators.
