AASU Medical Technology Students to Host Symposium


(Savannah, GA-October 31, 2006) Armstrong Atlantic State University (AASU) graduating seniors in the medical technology field will showcase their work at the second annual Medical Technology Senior Symposium from 1 - 3 p.m., Wednesday, November 15, in the Armstrong Center, 13040 Abercorn Street in Savannah.

The event is free and open to the public.

The students will present patient cases they have studied during their clinical practicum rotations. A variety of topics will be presented in the areas of microbiology, hematology, chemistry, blood bank and molecular diagnostics.

Students will present a total of 23 sessions. Symposium goers can attend up to five different sessions. Two hours of continuing education credit can be earned by attending five sessions. Registration is required to attend.
