AASU Faculty Lecture Series March 23

(Savannah, GA-March 5, 2007) Donna Brooks, associate professor in the department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Armstrong Atlantic State University (AASU), will give a lecture on "Communication Sciences and Disorders Providing the Ritecare," at 12:10 p.m. on Friday, March 23, in University Hall 156 on the AASU campus, 11935 Abercorn Street.

The event is free and open to the public.

The program in speech language pathology has been part of Armstrong Atlantic since 1971. Since October 2006, the department and its clinic, the RiteCare Center for Communication Disorders, have been housed in the Savannah Mall. The department offers both a bachelor's and a master's degree and is accredited by the American Speech Language Hearing Association.

An integral component of the master's level training is the clinical education of students. Since 1998 the department has provided speech-language pathology services to the campus, Savannah/Chatham and surrounding communities. The services provide students opportunities to apply theory to actual clients under the direction of licenses and certified clinicians.

The lecture is part of the 2006-2007 Robert I. Strozier Faculty Lecture Series. For more information, call 912.961.3173 or email duquefra@mail.armstrong.edu.
