AASU Faculty Lecture Series Unravels Natural Disasters(Savannah, GA-December 19, 2006) Armstrong Atlantic State University (AASU) history professor Tom Howard will discuss the relationship between natural disasters and human society on Friday, January 19, at 12:10 p.m., in University Hall 156, on the AASU campus, 11935 Abercorn Street. "Natural Disasters," part of the 2006-2007 AASU Robert I. Strozier Faculty Lecture Series, is free and open to the public. A great theme of geography is the interaction of human society and the natural environment. In his lecture, Howard will explore how events like the Indian Ocean tsunami and Hurricane Katrina reveal the frailties and follies of society in a way nothing else can.
