3 Days for AASU to Seek Support from Area Businesses(March 20, 2008) Armstrong Atlantic State University and the AASU Foundation will host its community campaign 3 Days for AASU '08 on April 1-3, 2008. Janice Woods, senior vice president of First Chatham Bank, and Michael Kemp, senior vice president of Sea Island Bank, are serving as the 2008 campaign chair and chair elect respectively. "Armstrong Atlantic plays a significant role in the development of productive citizens and future professionals," said Woods. This is the fifth year of the 3 Days for AASU campaign, which raises funds to provide assistance throughout the university. The focus is to meet immediate needs for students, faculty and programs including scholarships. "The investment that we ask individuals and corporate leaders to make in AASU is really an investment to make our own community stronger, both economically and socially," Kemp said. "We need your support to meet the ever growing needs of our community." Gifts of all amounts are meaningful and are tax deductible. Pledges made now can be paid through December 2008. The Armstrong Center is the site of the campaign kickoff breakfast on April 1. Eric R. Winger, president and CEO of the Savannah Economic Development Authority, will be the keynote speaker.
