ARE YOU MAN ENOUGH TO BE A NURSE?

SAVANNAH, GA—The Coastal Georgia Nursing Consortium announces a new recruitment program, "Are you Man Enough to be a Nurse?," that is designed to attract men to the nursing profession. This effort to recruit men to the field of nursing was created in response to a critical demand for nurses throughout the coastal region. The consortium will hold an event for men who are interested in becoming nurses on March 1 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency. The event is free and open to the public.

Barry S. Eckert, dean of the College of Health Professions at AASU, will give a presentation and then introduce a group of four male nurses who will speak briefly about the regional need for male nurses and their own experiences in the profession. Exhibits from regional educational institutions and service organizations will be on display.
