Williams Named Counselor at AASU

Savannah, GA—November 6, 2003—Armstrong Atlantic State University announces that Julianna Williams has joined the Office of Counseling Services with Student Affairs at Compass Point. She will provide counseling services to help students manage stress and cope with personal adjustment issues that may arise from their college experience. She will also provide diagnostic and referral services to those students with initial and ongoing emotional problems.

Prior to joining AASU, Williams provided counseling services, diagnostic assessments, and behavior management techniques to individuals with mental health, developmental disabilities, and chemical dependence. She provided these services for over twenty years in the local outpatient centers, Georgia Regional Hospital in Savannah, and the Department of Corrections. Williams is a licensed professional counselor and a nationally certified counselor with credentials in addictions and developmental disabilities. Williams received a Master of Education in Counselor Education degree from Georgia Southern University and a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology from Fisk University.
