AASU's Jamison to Lecture on King Arthur
Savannah, GAKing Arthur, along with his knights of the Round Table, has intrigued readers for centuries. From the first Arthurian romance in the 12th Century, Arthurian literature flourished in the Middle Ages and beyond.
Carol Jamison, associate professor of English literature at Armstrong Atlantic State University, will lecture on King Arthur through the Ages as part of the Robert Ingram Strozier Faculty Lecture Series on September 4. Jamison will vividly show how, in both popular and high culture, the legend of King Arthur lives on as a reflection of modern times.
The lecture will begin at 12:15 p.m. in AASU's Fine Arts Auditorium. It is free and open to the public.
