AASU's Carpenter Named Governor’s Teaching Fellow

Savannah, GA—Suzanne Carpenter, assistant professor of chemistry at Armstrong Atlantic State University, has been selected for the Governor’s Teaching Fellows program administered through the University of Georgia. Carpenter was selected on the basis of her teaching experience and her interest in continuing instructional and professional development.

Symposium participants will take part in an independent study, instructional and faculty development activities, and sample new instructional tools developed for the classroom.

The Governor’s Teaching Fellows program was established by former Governor Zell Miller to provide Georgia’s higher education faculty with expanded opportunities for developing important teaching skills. The Governor’s Teaching Fellows Program is jointly sponsored by the Institute of Higher Education and the Office of Instructional Support and Development at the University of Georgia.
