Brignati Named Vice President of Business and Finance at AASU

Savannah, GA—James M. Brignati has been named vice president of business and finance at Armstrong Atlantic State University. In his new position, Brignati manages an operating budget of $42.6 million and oversees $6.5 million in ongoing capital construction projects. He manages over seventy employees in the business and finance, business and auxiliary services, public safety, human resources, and physical plant operations. Reporting directly to the president, Brignati works closely with the Board of Regents in implementing system-wide policies and procedures that relate to business and financial services at the university.

Brignati has served in educational administration for more than twenty-five years. Most recently he was vice president for business and finance at Valdosta State University. He also served as a member of the board of the Valdosta State University Foundation. Brignati earned his master's in business administration from the Bernard M. Baruch College of the City University of New York.
