5, 2005The College of Education at Armstrong Atlantic State University
will host the Week of the Young Child Conference on April 15. It will
be held in University Hall, room 156. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m.
Participants must have pre-registered due to limited seating of 200.
Author Ann Douglas will be the main speaker at the event. Douglas will show slides of the paintings she created to illustrate the story, sing original songs, and explain principles of love and forgiveness as related to the emotional well being of a generation of children. Books will be available for purchase and personal signing by Ann Douglas. All proceeds go to Betta Place, Inc., $18.00, tax included. Also, four break-out sessions will be offered regarding a wide variety of topics including: literacy, telling stories, reading and language arts, international pen pals, just to name a few. Week
