AASU’s Loyd Receives State Research Award

Savannah, GA—April 28, 2004—Robert Loyd, associate professor of special education at Armstrong Atlantic State University, received the Outstanding Special Education Research Award from the Georgia Federation Council for Exceptional Children. The Georgia Federation Council for Exceptional Children is the largest international professional organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for individuals with exceptionalities, students with disabilities, and the gifted.

Loyd has been with Armstrong Atlantic since 1997. He has co-authored five books and over ten journal publications. He is a member of the Council for Exceptional Children. Loyd is the faculty advisor for the Student Council for Exceptional Children.
