InTech Program Wins State Award

Savannah, GA—December 9, 2003—The Educational Technology Training Center (ETTC) at Armstrong Atlantic State University is one of thirteen Georgia state InTech programs that received the Best Professional Development Program of the Year Award from the Georgia Staff Development Council. More than 40,000 educators have received credit for meeting the Georgia technology requirement through participating in InTech statewide.

The ETTC at AASU provides comprehensive instructional and administrative technology training for educators in order to enhance teaching and learning in Georgia's classrooms. ETTC emphasizes effective uses of technology to increase school productivity and distance learning to provide opportunities that would otherwise be inaccessible to educators, administrative staff, support personnel and technology support specialists. The ETTC is a collaborative effort of the Georgia Department of Education and the College of Education at Armstrong Atlantic State University.
