WEEK OF THE YOUNG CHILD: AASU to Hold Children's Book Fair April 15-18
Savannah, GAArmstrong Atlantic State University is holding a Scholastic Book Fair from April 15-18 as a part of its eleventh annual Week of the Young Child Conference, "Literacy and the Young Child." The fair will feature books written for children and will be open to faculty, staff, and members of the community. All profits will be donated to the Book Cart, the children's reading program at St. Joseph/Candler Health System, and to the Georgia Association of Educators.
The book fair will be held in AASU's University Hall each day during the following times: 11 A.M.-5:30 P.M. (Monday); 8:30 A.M.-7 P.M. (Tuesday and Wednesday); and 8 A.M.-5:30 P.M. (Thursday).
AASU is an affiliate of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the largest organization of early childhood educators and others dedicated to improving the quality of early education programs for children from birth through age eight. AASU' s College of Education and College of Health Professions are sponsoring the event.
