AASU’s Computer Science Quiz Bowl March 5

Savannah, GA—February 10, 2005— High school students who want to expand their knowledge of computer science are invited to attend Armstrong Atlantic State University's (AASU) third annual Computer Science Quiz Bowl on March 5. The first 100 registered participants will receive a free commemorative t-shirt. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and will be followed by two rounds beginning at 9 and 10:45 a.m., and an awards ceremony that will begin at noon. Pizza will be served at the awards ceremony. The event is free and open to the public.

The quiz bowl will cover introductory level computer science and information technology topics. Many of the questions will come from the following areas: business applications, computer literacy, Boolean algebra, hardware, software, logic, and the Internet.
The teams that answer a series of questions most successfully will advance to the final round. Finalists will compete for the championship by answering questions in a game show formatted round.
