AASU’s Computer Science Quiz Bowl November 15

Savannah, GA—November 3, 2003— High school students who want to expand their knowledge of computer science are invited to attend Armstrong Atlantic State University's second annual Computer Science Quiz Bowl on November 15. The first 100 registered participants will receive a free commemorative t-shirt. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and will be followed by two quiz rounds beginning at 9 and 10:30 a.m. An awards ceremony will begin at 11:30 a.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The quiz bowl will cover introductory level computer science and information technology topics. Many of the questions will come from the following areas: computer literacy, Boolean algebra, data structures, BITWISE operations, control statements, hardware, software, and the Internet.
The teams that answer a series of questions most successfully will advance to the final round. Finalists will answer questions from five categories to determine the winners of the quiz bowl.
