AASU Names Nordenhaug Interim Department Head of Languages, Literature, and Philosophy

Savannah, GA—November 4, 2004—Erik Nordenhaug has been promoted to interim head of the Department of Languages, Literature, and Philosophy at Armstrong Atlantic State University (AASU).

A professor of philosophy for over 12 years, Nordenhaug focuses his scholarship on the relationship between technology and ethics. Prior to his teaching career, he studied in Munich, Germany; Grenoble, France; Lyon, France; and later taught English and philosophy for two years in Thessaloniki, Greece. His early experiences abroad influenced his current involvement with the Greece Study Abroad Program at AASU.

Nordenhaug received his B.A. magna cum laude with a double major in philosophy and religion from Mercer University in 1985 and his M.A. (1989) and Ph.D. (1994) in philosophy from Emory University.
