AASU to Host the First Southeast Undergraduate Moot Court Debate in Savannah

Savannah, GA—October 13, 2004—Armstrong Atlantic State University will host the first Southeast Undergraduate Moot Court Competition for its students and those in attendance at South University and the University of Texas. Over 50 participants will debate the case of Samantha Sommerman v. William and Mary DeNolf on the issue of unreasonable search and seizure for suspected child abuse.

The case will be debated throughout the three-day regional tournament, October 27-29, the only such competition in the southeastern United States. The championship session will be held on October 29. It will begin at noon in room 157 of University Hall and is open the public.
