Weiner to Give Presentation during the Women’s Studies Conference

Savannah, GA—March 8, 2004—Jessica Weiner, a motivational speaker that inspires people to take action in their everyday lives, will give a presentation at the DeSoto-Hilton Hotel on March 25 beginning at 6 p.m. Her first book, A Very Hungry Girl, incorporates her personal story, tales from the road, and take-away tools for personal empowerment and action that have helped thousands of women address a multitude of self-esteem issues. Jessica and her work have been featured on CNN, MTV, The View, Good Morning America, The Today Show, and most recently on Oprah. Tickets for the presentation will be sold at the door for $8.

Weiner’s presentation is part of the 27th annual Southeastern Women’s Studies Association Conference, "Feminist Locations," that will be held March 25 through 27 at the DeSoto-Hilton Hotel. The conference will focus on issues facing women and locate feminist theory and practice in the multiple and conflicting experiences of the lived realities of women.
