Savannah, GAOctober
17,2003Savannah resident Luciana M. Spracher has published a new
book, A History of Thunderbolt Georgia, which chronicles the
history of Thunderbolt from the early colonial days, to the days when
it was a fishing village, to its present-day status of a family community.
The book was published in conjunction with the towns 270th anniversary.
Spracher, a New York native, first came to Savannah to get a historic
preservation degree from Savannah College of Art and Design. After she
spent a few years as an intern for the National Trust for Historic Preservation,
she came back to Savannah to obtain a masters in public history

and genealogical research. Spracher is the author of Lost Savannah,
a collection of images that showcase architecture that is no longer
