AASU Economics Club Gives Shelter Computer

SAVANNAH, GA—January 7,2004—Armstrong Atlantic State University’s Economics Club recently presented S.A.F.E. Shelter with a computer and a cash donation, totaling more than $800. The club raised funds for the donation during a basketball game between students and faculty in November.

The president of the Economics Club, Emily Adams, said that the computer was donated so that the residents of the S.A.F.E.Shelter would be able to develop their resumes and work on their typing skills.

S.A.F.E. Shelter is a non-profit organization that provides temporary shelter and confidential services to victims of domestic violence.

The Economics Club offers students the opportunity to develop leadership, teamwork, and communication skills through learning, practicing, and teaching the principles of free enterprise.
