Professor Elected Head of ACS Steering Committee

11, 2003Will Lynch, an associate professor of chemistry at Armstrong
Atlantic State University, was elected to a three-year term as head
of the Southeast Region Steering Committee of the American Chemical
Society (ACS). The steering committee oversees the affairs of the southeast
region of the ACS, including the annual meeting and over 1,000 presentations.
Lynch will serve as the chair-elect in 2003-04, and will become chair
in 2004-05.
Lynch has been a professor at Armstrong Atlantic for 10 years, and became
an associate professor in 1998. He has worked with his colleagues on
several papers in scientific journals. Lynch is very active within the
ACS, and has worked within several committees and sections. Lynch received
his Ph. D. in inorganic chemistry from Wayne State University in Detroit,
Michigan.
