AASU Students
Participate in Habitat for Humanity SAVANNAH, GAJanuary 22, 2004
Armstrong Atlantic State University (AASU) has teamed up with Habitat
for Humanity to help build houses for underprivileged families in the
local community. In the last four months, groups of nearly fifteen students
from AASU volunteered their labor each Saturday to build houses in the
mid-town section of Savannah. Over forty students have given up a Saturday
to perform tasks such as painting, laying sod, and prepping grounds.
Several of the students have volunteered on more than one occasion.
Jonathan Roberts, psychology professor and the team leader for Armstrong
Atlantic, has committed to continue bringing groups in the spring.
