Announces Winners of National Science Bowl
Savannah, Ga
- Four high school teams from Frederica Academy, Wayne County High School,
and Statesboro High School competed in the sub-regional Science Bowl
competition held at Armstrong Atlantic State University on January 25.
Frederica Academy won by beating Statesboro in a very close competitive
final round.
The students answered questions in a Jeopardy style round-robin competition.
Questions were from a variety of scientific fields including astronomy,
biology, chemistry, computer science, geology, mathematics, and physics.
The competition was sponsored by AASU, the Coastal Empire Local Section
of the American Chemical Society, and Subway.
