Pre-Law Students Attend National Moot Court
Savannah, GAArmstrong Atlantic State University pre-law students
Shelina Gwaduri and Richard Amann traveled to the University of Texas-Arlington
to compete at the National Undergraduate Moot Court Tournament sponsored
by the American Collegiate Moot Court Association.
More than one hundred students from sixty schools around the country
competed for $2,500 in scholarships. Each school had to defend one side
of a particular case and then forty-five minutes later defend the other
side.
This was the first time Armstrong Atlantic participated in this tournament.
The students trained for the competition for three months under AASU
professors Richard Nordquist (rhetoric) and John Kearnes (constitutional
law). Hunter Maclean Exley & Dunn PC law firm provided financial
support for the students' travel expenses.
