Cebula Ranked Among Top Economists Globally Savannah, GAIn a recent study commissioned by the European Economics Association (EEA), Dr. Richard Cebula, Shirley and Philip Solomons Eminent Scholar in Economics at Armstrong Atlantic State University, has been ranked twenty-third among economists worldwide, based on the quantity of refereed publications and the quality of the refereed journals in which he has been published. The rankings were determined by Tom Coupé, assistant professor at Economics Education and Research Consortium in Kiev, Ukraine. Coupé's research was published in a paper, "Top Economists: Bauwens (1990-2000)," funded by EEA. Bauwens is the name of one of the methodologies used to determine the quality of economics journals globally. EEA is an international scientific body, with membership open to all persons involved or interested in economics. Its aim is to contribute to the development and application of economics as a science in Europe; to improve communication and exchange between teachers, researchers and students in economics in the different European countries; to develop and sponsor co-operation between teaching institutions of university level and research institutions in Europe.
