AASU English Professor to Attend Postdoctoral Program at Cornell University

SAVANNAH, GA— Teresa Winterhalter, professor of English at Armstrong Atlantic State University, has been admitted to the School of Criticism & Theory (SCT) at Cornell University. She will attend a six week postdoctoral program this summer on literature and its relationship to history, art, anthropology, and the law.

SCT offers professors and advanced graduate students of literature and related social sciences a chance to work with preeminent figures in critical thought. Participants will examine the role of literature in ideological and cultural movements. They also will reassess theoretical approaches that have emerged over the last fifty years.
