Middle School Math Bowl at AASU
Savannah, GAThe Department of Mathematics at Armstrong Atlantic State University will host its 18th annual Middle School Math Bowl on Saturday, November 3. The competition will be held in room 156 of AASU's University Hall. It will begin with registration at 8:30 A.M. and end with an award presentation at 12:40 P.M. The event is free and open to the public.
Approximately ninety-five students from thirteen local middle schools will vie for honors in the competition. The participants are selected from Chatham county middle schools, both public and private. Each middle school selects a team of four participants with up to four alternates.
The Middle School Math Bowl competition stimulates a more challenging and competitive interest in math among high-achieving math students from the local middle schools. Many of the participants also compete in Mathcounts, a national middle school math competition.
