Joins AASU Foundation

10, 2004Dalton (D.) R. Ward has joined the Armstrong Atlantic
State University Educational Properties Foundation as financial advisor.
AASU President Thomas Z. Jones said, "D. Ward will be a solid addition
to the foundation and university team. He will bring invaluable financial
acumen to the foundation at a time when it is rapidly building an infrastructure
to support the universitys accelerating enrollment."
Following a 30-year career in banking, Ward retired as the city president
of Bank of America. He has served as chairman of the YMCA of Coastal
Georgia and the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce, and president of
the Small Business Assistance Corporation. He has been a member of the
boards of the United Way of the Coastal Empire, and the Armstrong Atlantic
State University Foundation.
He holds a BSBA from Florida Southern College, an MBA in finance from
the University of Florida, and completed the Executive Program at the
University of North Carolina.
