AASU to Offer Campus Open House

Savannah, GA—December 30, 2003—The Office of Recruiting at Armstrong Atlantic State University (AASU) will host a Campus Open House on Saturday, January 31. The event is being held for prospective students who are new to college, reentry students, or transfer students. It will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in AASU's University Hall. The public is invited to attend.

The open house is intended to "orient potential students with university life," said Melanie Mirande, director of recruiting at Armstrong Atlantic. Faculty, staff, and students will be on hand with specifics about the various degrees, admission requirements, financial aid, scholarships, study abroad, and other programs offered by the university. Campus tours also will be provided.

Men and women whose academic goals were deferred or interrupted for reasons of work, family, or other commitments are also encouraged to attend to learn more about what the university has to offer in the way of flexible class scheduling.

Armstrong Atlantic offers undergraduate degrees and certificates from the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Health Professions, the College of Education, and the School of Computing, and graduate degrees and certificates from the School of Graduate Studies. More than 6,600 students are currently enrolled at the university.
