Georgia Nurses Association Honors Deanna Cross

Cross, assistant dean for Adult Academic Services and special assistant
to the President on Minority Affairs at Armstrong Atlantic State University,
has been selected the 2002 Georgia Nurses Association (GNA) First District
Honoree.
Dr. Cross received a bachelors degree in nursing from the University
of Akron in Ohio. She continued her education at Boston College, where
she earned a masters degree in nursing and a doctoral degree in
Higher Education Administration.
Dr. Cross has been a member of the Georgia Nurses Association, First
District, since moving to Savannah. She has chaired the bylaw committee
for the past five years. She was also appointed to the American Nurses
Association (ANA) Committee on Bylaws in 2001.
