AASU to Host Adults Back to College Sessions
Savannah, GAThe Office of Adult Academic Services at Armstrong Atlantic State University will host a series of information sessions for adults who are interested in earning a college degree. The sessions are for today's students who are new to college or are reentry students whose academic goals were deferred or interrupted for reasons of work, family, or other commitments.
Adults Back to College (ABC) sessions are intended "to help adults realize they can fulfill their dreams of getting a college education," said Deanna Cross, assistant dean of Adult Academic Services. Admissions counselors will be on hand with specifics about "the various degrees, financial aid, scholarships, and other programs offered at AASU."
Adults Back to College sessions, which are free and open to the public, will be held on the following dates:

10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.
Bull Street Library, 2002 Bull Street
October 22
6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
Bryan County Library, 9607 Ford Avenue, Richmond Hill
November 7
6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
Senior Citizens Center, 2035 Bull Street
November 16
10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.
AASU's Gamble Hall, Room 105
Adult Academic Services houses information on degree programs and university services; hosts focus group sessions and workshops; coordinates academic advisement and tutorial services; and provides individual guidance to new and reentry students, both on and off campus. It is open from 8:30 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. Mondays through Thursdays and 8:30 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. on Fridays.During the fall and spring semesters, it is open on Saturdays from 7:30 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.
Armstrong Atlantic offers undergraduate degrees and certificates from the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Health Professions, the College of Education, and the School of Computing, and graduate degrees and certificates from the School of Graduate Studies. More than 6,000 students are currently enrolled at the university.
